With the expansion of School of Medical Sciences (PPSP), the need to have
a common research laboratory was deemed necessary. In 2002 the first discussion
on this took place. The name of the laboratory was aptly termed Central
Research Laboratory (CRL).CRL has 4 sections under it management, namely
the Basic Instrumentation, Analytical Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and
Histopathology section. A diverse community of users can access the facilities,
including, research officers, graduate students, scientific officer and
lecturers. The primary purpose of the center is to support research activities
of the School of Medical Science and other PTJ by providing advice, technical
assistance and access to our scientific equipments:
Provide Instruments
-
CRL provides various instruments for researchers which covers basic
instrumentation, analytical biochemistry , molecular biology and histopathology
.
Provide Guide And Training
-
CRL is organized in such a way so as to maximize the easy accessibility
of its facilities. If a user already is properly trained in the use
of a particular instrument, access is merely a matter of registering
and scheduling. Potential users who are not qualified operators can
arrange for instruction and training before registering and using the
instruments
Our Future Plans
-
Providing service for routine diagnostic tests for project specimens.
- Acquiring
additional equipment for existing sections.
-
Setting up new sections
