The School of Medical Sciences was first established in June, 1979. Its mission is to strive to be the centre of academic excellence, providing medical services of the highest standard and be a leader in research and innovation in the field of medical sciences and technology.
Apart from medical programme to produce specialist in the various clinical specialties, School of Medical Sciences also offers mixed mode programmes as follow;

- Master of Science (Clinical Anatomy)
- Master of Science (Medical Statistics)
