9th International Sports Science Conference 2012

We are happy to welcome you to 9^th edition of the International Sports Science Conference. As in previous years, this conference will be held in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

The organizing committees have assembled a program reflecting this year’s conference theme - Contemporary Trends & Research in Sports, Exercise and Physical Education. Parallel with this theme, the program emphasizes on the integration of knowledge between various sub-disciplines of sports, physical activity and physical education. 

Given an increase of physical inactivity in the general population both locally and internationally, the conference aims to draw current empirical evidence on the mechanisms in which physical activity and exercise may be promoted. 

Following the spirit of previous conferences, this year conference will also maintain its traditional emphasis on issues related to high performance sports. It is hoped that this conference will provide a platform for sports, exercise, and physical education researchers, practitioners and enthusiasts both in and outside Malaysia to share current knowledge related to sports, exercise, physical activity and physical education. 

The conference will also provide platform for the delegates to explore the possibilities of collaborative research and exchange of knowledge in the area of sports and exercise sciences with others within their interest. 

Besides, the organizing committees are hoping that you will find time to enjoy the many beautiful attractions in Kota Bharu.
